Objectives:

• To understand the push & pull factors around why a young person could go MFC.

• To look at the protocol that needs to be followed when a young person is identified as MFC.

• To understand the importance of ‘Safe & Well Checks’; ‘Independent Return Interviews’; & the ‘Philomena Protocol’.

• To understand the approach carer’s need to take when supporting a young person through incidents of MFC.

• Be able to understand & define grooming as a concern towards CSE.

•  To understand different grooming models in the context of CSE.

• To recognise different signs of CSE a child or young person may display.
