Internet Safety

Objectives:

• To understand the origins of the internet & acknowledge its place in the modern world.

• To recognise key features in UK legislation of the Online Safety Act 2023.

• To recognise the dangers & risk factors young people face when using the internet.

• To able to reflect & acknowledge your understanding of the risk factors presented by the internet.

• To recognise different ‘APP’s’ on the internet and how to keep children & young people safe.

• To determine the measures that need to be taken when supporting & protecting young people around the use of the internet & technology.

• To acknowledge the reality faced with online grooming.
